About the Role:
Erwin Electric is expanding into the Sarasota area and is seeking an experienced Permitting & Office Operations Specialist to help establish and support our administrative operations.
This role is ideal for someone highly experienced in pulling electrical permits, comfortable working independently, navigating municipalities, and communicating with AHJs. As the Sarasota location grows, this position will expand into broader office and operational responsibilities.
We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong permitting knowledge, organization, and initiative. Long-term, this role is designed to evolve into a company-wide Permitting Manager, supporting multiple branches.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Pull electrical permits with cities, counties, and utilities
- Track permit statuses, inspections, approvals, and closeouts
- Communicate with inspectors, municipalities, utilities, and internal teams
- Ensure permit compliance and accurate documentation
- Maintain organized and up-to-date permit and inspection records
Qualifications:
- Prior experience pulling electrical permits (required)
- Strong knowledge of local municipalities and permitting processes
- Comfortable communicating with AHJs and inspectors
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Construction or electrical industry experience preferred
Compensation:
- $22-$26/hour based on experience
